Other: (Any miscellaneous, non-essential information)
You may add extra information to the ref in the Other section, but filling out all the information in the categories above is required for entry. Please do not put any vital information there that belongs in a different category; the Other section is for flavor text only.
You may enter up to two characters; at least one must be a fighter character, though both may be fighter characters. The second may be a spectator character who does not directly participate in fighting. The only stipulation to having two fighter characters is that they are limited to four strengths or abilities each.
There are limits to spectator characters - they may be healers, but they are not allowed to magically heal your character of all their injuries between rounds. Other potential story-breaker powers (time travel and other such abilities) are subject to potentially being removed or weakened. Please use your discretion.
A visual reference of your character is also required. If you are unable to make one yourself, please note the staff with a description of your character and one will be provided.
Heavily complicated designs are discouraged for the sake of both you and any of your opponents who may also use visual media for their entries. You will be asked to simplify any designs that are deemed to be too complicated.
Strengths and weaknesses must be balanced, though there is no penalty for having more weaknesses than strengths. All types of magical or supernatural abilities are permitted, but none that endow your character with godlike powers.
Common choices for weaknesses include the following:
Unusually weak for its size
Unusually slow for its size
Unusually fragile for its size
Unusually clumsy for its size
Poor stamina
Poor senses
Poor pain tolerance
Poor balance
Unusually sensitive to high or low temperatures
Clear weak spots
Long-term injuries
Breathing troubles
Hemophilia
Flimsy joints
Prone to seizures
Character designs may not be drastically changed after auditions. Updating reference sheets with wounds or other minor aesthetic changes (eyes glowing, or a small, simple accessory) are the only changes allowed once Round One starts.
If a character’s outfit changes during the tournament, or they acquire a new one, this must be shown as a drawn update after their victory is confirmed. If you need assistance with this, please contact a staff member.
