Name: Lexia Calimeris
Alias/Nickname: Lex, Lexy
Species: Minotaur
Age: 18
Height/Weight:
6’ 7” (200 cm)
226 lbs. (102 kg)
Gender: Female (She/Her)
Reason for entering: To keep Kacey from getting themselves killed
Memento: Sun Locket (see Kacey’s ref, they may pass it between each other)
Strengths:
+Martial Mallet: Lexia is well trained in combat, particularly with her hammer. (named “Even Temper”) The hammer is made of a hefty metal, with hard rubber around the handle. The average person would find this hammer extremely heavy.
+Strength beyond strength: Her physical strength is immense in part due to her training, she regularly bench presses up to 320 lbs. (145 kg)
+Built Tough: Lexia is extremely durable, able to take many physical assaults. If she does manage to get cut and bruised she’ll be able to take a lot of punishment even still. The gambeson she wears also affords her some modest protection as well.
Abilities:
>”Spellcasting”: Lexia knows a single spell, and her capacity for magic is extremely poor. All casters in her setting are limited by the energy that their soul produces, and it is only able to be restored through rest or outside means (potions, magic ingredients, of which Lexia has none) Lexia can only use her magic 5-6 times before needing to rest 4-5 hours to fully restore her soul power.
>Earth Asunder:
- Lexia strikes the ground, sending her soul energy into it by sheer force, causing a small spire of rocks a little taller than herself to violently erupt from the ground.
- The spire can erupt at a max distance of 30 feet (9 meters) from Lexia’s striking point so long as there is connected ground between the two points.
- Besides hitting foes with the spire itself, she can use it to block attacks, the spire itself isn’t very stable, but it can take a hit or two before crumbling.
- The spell requires that some form of earth or rock be struck, it has a lesser but still usable effect on looser earthy materials like sand or mud.
- Lexia could cast this spell without her hammer by striking the ground with her fists/hooves, though the effect would be weaker and the spire smaller.
Weaknesses:
-Terrible non-physical Defense: Anything that is not a physical force like a blunt strike or cut completely bypasses Lexia’s toughness. This includes magic but even sources of fire or electricity and such from non-magical sources also count. Because she’s so used to just being able to tough out damage, the pain from these sources feels intensified to her and can make her drop her guard.
-Cow Tipping: Lexia’s hooves do not offer very stable footing, she’ll struggle to stay upright if both her legs are not firmly planted on a surface with a good amount of grip. This leaves her vulnerable to being knocked over if even one of her legs are sweeped, and she similarly struggles with slick surfaces.
-Heat Exhaustion: The combination of Lexia’s fur and her thick gambeson can cause her to suffer from heat exhaustion in warmer environments and/or during intense physical activity. She can mitigate this slightly (though not completely) by removing her gambeson, but she’ll lose some of her protection by doing so.
-Big Target: Lexia’s size and fighting style make it so that she does not prioritize dodging attacks, even going out of her way to get hit to protect her allies, even against types of damage she struggles with. Her larger size also makes it difficult to impossible to navigate cramped areas.
Personality: In terms of responsibility and dependability, Lexia tries to hold herself to the standards of someone decades older than her. That doesn’t necessarily mean her maturity always follows suit, but she does try. She wants to be seen as reliable and to be taken seriously most of the time. Lexia would prefer to approach most situations “by the book” as possible, she has a general respect for rules and authority, as long as those things also meet a certain moral standard. She’s compelled to help those in need and sees herself as a protector at heart, but she’ll sometimes overlook when she’s the one who needs support or protection.
History: Lexia grew up in Aster Woods, home of the madrai. She was born to a madrai mother and a minotaur father, the latter of whom serves as a town guard and inspired Lexia to want to do the same. She trained her mind and body rigorously, coming out near the top of her class and becoming one of the best recreational fighters of her age group. As her sheer strength developed, less and less peers her age wanted to take her on, yet this led to her befriending a young madrai by the name of Kacey, who expressed interest in repeatedly sparring with her just because it “seemed fun”. The two developed a strong bond as they grew up together. Kacey may get the both of them into more trouble than Lexia would like sometimes, but recognizes them as a kind spirit and a true friend.
Likes: Waking up early, weightlifting, weapon/armor craftsmanship, assisting others, gyros
Dislikes: Breaking rules, dishonesty, cow puns (This is Kacey’s fault), being perceived as immature
Other:
-Lexia has brought some non-combat items into the endgrove. These include food rations, a water bottle with a built in purifier filter, and some pips (small inert blue seeds the madrai use as currency). These aren’t essential to depict and can be ignored entirely.
-Kacey and Lexia are part of an RPG Maker Project I’ve been trying to make.
